Bespoke manufacturing

Between the drawing and the site there is the workshop. That is where dimensions turn into parts.

Services

From dimensions to parts

A manufacturing drawing is not a wish. It is a list of parts, materials, joints and tolerances. We move from one to the other in the workshop, to the exact dimensions surveyed on site - not to standard sizes that would later mean grinding a post or drilling a load-bearing wall.

Bespoke manufacturing covers the structural work and the finishing alike: padel structures, sports hall structures, MMA cages, free-standing boxing rings, wall padding, supports, cladding and storage. Every part is marked, checked and packed for transport, with the fixings and the assembly instructions that go with it.

What is built can be taken apart. We favour joints that can be undone, so a room can change, move or take on a different use without starting from nothing. Wearing parts are chosen from ranges that will still exist in five years, rather than ones that vanish with the production run.

Well-made equipment goes unnoticed: it holds, it does not shift, and you forget about it. That is the only compliment it can be paid.

What that covers, discipline by discipline

Padel

Padel

Padel structures and their fittings: posts, rails, glazing supports, ball-stop panels and cladding, matched to the building's grid rather than to a catalogue standard.

Parts leave the workshop marked up by assembly station, which saves the site sorting through two pallets before the first bolt goes in.

Fitness & Cross-training

Fitness & Cross-training

Racks, rigs, platforms and storage built to the height of the room, with anchors suited to the slab actually in place.

Anchors are calculated on dynamic forces, not on a resting load: a dropped bar does not load a slab the way a stack of plates does.

Pilates

Pilates

Supports, storage and finishes for a studio where everything is seen close up: fit and surface finish matter as much as strength.

In a studio everything is seen close up: surface finish and fit matter as much as strength, and they are what ages badly when neglected.

Combat sports

Combat sports

An MMA cage sized to the platform, a free-standing boxing ring where anchoring is impossible, wall padding and mats cut to the room.

A free-standing ring weighs what it weighs and still has to come apart: that constraint draws the frame long before aesthetics do.

Multi-sport spaces

Multi-sport spaces

Sports hall structures, goals, retractable supports and wall padding: parts that take the impact and come apart when the room changes configuration.

A retractable goal is a mechanism working in front of unsupervised children: it is sized as safety equipment, not as furniture.

Play areas

Play areas

Play equipment and playground furniture made to measure, with the surface finishes and fixings that heavy use by children demands.

Surface finish and fixings are what the inspector will check: we deal with them in the workshop rather than putting them right on site at the first visit.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make everything yourselves?

The bespoke parts, yes, in our own workshop - and the drawings stay with us, which means a part can be made again years later.

We do not make sports flooring, strength machines or roll-out mats: those are industrial trades we do not have. See our brands.

Which materials and finishes?

Steel for anything that carries, timber for anything that is touched, and surface treatments chosen on exposure: an outdoor frame by the sea is not treated like an indoor rack.

We state the finish in the quotation rather than letting it be discovered: it is what decides how the thing looks in five years.

And if a part breaks in three years?

The drawings are here and wear parts are in stock: a part that is no longer made can be remade identically.

That is the point of manufacturing in house, and it is tested in the fifth year rather than the first. See maintenance.

Something to have made?

A drawing, a sketch or even an annotated photograph is enough to start. Describe the part and where it has to go: we will tell you what can be made, how, and in what time.
